DA for Central Govt. / PSU lilkely to Increase by 6% from January 2015

With the consumer Price Index Number [CPI(IW)] for October 2014 remaining unchanged at the level of  253.

Central D.A is likely to be 6% increased from Jan'15, this DA increase is for both IDA pattern salary and CDA pattern salary of more than 60 Lakh Central Government employee.

Presently DA being 107 % and addition of 6% will mean that the total DA for Central Government employee as well as public sector undertaking employees leaving apart public sector bank employees the Likely New Dearness Allowance ( D.A. ) from January 2015 will be 113%

To calculate the DA for Jan 2015 accurately, we need the AICPIN value for the next two months.

But we only have the AICPIN value for four months now. In the coming months, if the AICPIN value remains at 253 or 1 point increase based (254 ,255,) then D.A. is likely to be hiked @ 6% , totaling to  i.e. 113%. ( We have taken assumption based on year trends are at almost all the time we have predicted accurately ).

Central Government employees Dearness Allowance (D.A.) to be 107% from July 1, 2014

The government has decided to increase the Dearness Allowance of Central Government employees to 107% from July 1, 2014. The increase is 7% from the previous increase which was earlier 100% of the basic pay.
The DA of central government is revised twice a year on January 1, and second on July 1.
From last few years the increase in DA for government employees has been very good as due to high inflation as DA is linked to the CPI and WPI and higher the prices of CPI and WPI higher is the increase in Dearness allowance
