It is a profit-making Central Government Schedule ‘A’ PSU under the Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production, engaged primarily in the construction of Warships and Submarines for the Indian Navy. The present turnover of the Company is around ` 2600 Cr. and is projected to be higher in the coming years. MDL has employee strength of around 8400.

B) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Minimum 60% marks for Science graduates (55 % for SC/ST/PWD) & 55% for
graduates in other streams (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in aggregate from a recognized
University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government of
India with the same percentages as stipulated above.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test and
interview. The details of the written test shall be communicated to the candidates
in advance.

(a) For SC/ST/PWD candidates - Rs. 50/- (for postage)

candidate must collect the payment receipt; the particulars thereof are to be quoted in the

of the written test.
