Other Details and Benefits of Bank 10th Wage Revision Part 2/8

Dearness Allowance

On and from 1.11.2012, Dearness Allowance shall be payable for every rise or fall of
four points over 4440 points in the quarterly average of the All India Average Working
Class Consumer Price Index (General) Base 1960=100 at 0.10% of Pay.

House Rent Allowance (w.e.f. 1.11.2012)

i) Major “A” Class Cities and Project Area Centres in Group A 9 % of Pay
ii) Other places in Area I, and Project Area Centres in Group B
and State of Goa
8% of Pay
iii) Other places 7% of Pay
Provided that if an officer produces a rent receipt, the House Rent Allowance payable to
him/her shall be the actual rent paid by him/her for the residential accommodation in
excess over 0.75% of Pay in the first stage of the Scale of Pay in which he/she is placed
with a maximum of 150% of the House Rent Allowance payable as per aforesaid rates
mentioned in Column II above.

Note: The claims of officer employees for House Rent Allowance linked to the cost of
their ownership accommodation shall also be restricted to 150% of House Rent
Allowance as hitherto.

City Compensatory Allowance (w.e.f. 1.11.2012)

Places in Area 1 and in state of Goa : 4% of Basic Pay to Maximum of 870/- Per Month

Places with population of five lakhs and and over and State Capitals and Chandigarh, Pondicherry, and Port Blair 3% of basic pay to Maximum of 600/- Per Month

Special Allowance (w.e.f. 1.11.2012)

With effect from 1.11.2012, officers shall be paid Special Allowance as under:
Scale I-III - 7.75% of Basic Pay + applicable Dearness Allowance thereon
Scale IV-V - 10% of Basic Pay + applicable Dearness Allowance thereon
Scale VI-VII- 11% of Basic Pay + applicable Dearness Allowance thereon

Note : The special allowance with applicable DA thereon shall not be reckoned for
superannuation benefits, viz, pension including NPS, PF and Gratuity

Dearness allowance paid on Basic Pay plus special pay if any paid to the employees and is revised 4 times a year.

HRA - House Rent Allowance is paid to bankers who are staying in their own house and not paid to them if they are residing in bank leased or bank owned or personal leased quarters where in they are paid the rent with ceiling limits in their grade and scales.

If someone is residing in his own house then HRA paid will be 9% of basic pay in major metros.
for instance if someone joints the bank in JMG Scale 1 he shall be paid the following HRA                                                                       23700 * 9/100 = 2133/-
And if someone has taken a loan to purchase is home called here as cost of ownership accommodation shall be paid 150% of HRA             23700* 13.5/100 = 3200/-

CCA - City Compensatory allowance is paid area wise which is for metros Area 1 as 870/-  and in other areas as 600/- Per month. This is just flat calculation paid even if one stays in own house or bank quarter and not DA or other allowance is paid on CCA

From this latest wage revision for Bankers SPECIAL ALLOWANCE  has been added as the 5% of basic pay and DA is paid on special allowance too. Kindly note that no superannuation benefits shall be paid on the special allowance like Pension . NPS and Gratuity.
