UCO Bank, recruiting applications for the post of Probationary Officers in Jr. Management Grade Scale-I from candidates who have taken the Common Written Examination (CWE) for Probationary Officers conducted by IBPS in 2011.

Scale of Pay :
Rs. 14500-25700/-

Probation Period : Selected candidates will be put on probation period of 2 years

Execution of Bond : Selected candidates will be required to executive a Bond on Non- Judicial Stamp paper for serving the Bank for two years or payment of 2 lacs in lieu thereof.

Age : 20-30 yrs

UCO Bank to Recruit 2,500




Kolkata, Jan 5 : Kolkata-based UCO Bank will recruit 2500 employees by this fiscal.


"This year the commercial bank will recruit 1200 Probationary Officers and 1000 clerks through the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)," UCO bank Chairman Arun Kaul today said on the sidelines of a press meet.

He said 300 MBA degree holders would be recruited through campusing in colleges and universities.

The Chairman informed that last year the bank had recruited 1000 POs and equal number of clerks.

"At the end of this fiscal year we expect to report normal growth of about 18-20 per cent against last year," Mr Kaul said.

He said by 2013 the bank would have 3000 branches against 2329 now and will add another 2250 ATMs.

The UCO bank has major business in corporate sector, which is about 72 pct of total business.

"We are now eying to stress more on the SME sector as well as steel and textile sector," Mr Kaul added. (UNI)
